QSFP to SFP+ Cable enabled host adapters

Cables on Demand, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is pleased to debut Amphenol’s new series of QSFP to SFP+ Cable for the IT/Datacenter market at CablesOnDemand.com, Amphenol’s exclusive online storefront. Engineered by New York-based Amphenol High-Speed Interconnects™ (AHSI), these QSFP to SFP+ Cable Splitter Cables are well suited for a multitude of installation scenarios in which dissimilar QSFP to SFP+ Cable equipment must be connected. A common installation method is to plug the single 40G QSFP channel of the splitter cable into the Top-of-Rack (ToR) switch’s available 40-Gbps QSFP uplink port. The splitter cable’s four individual 10G SFP+ channels can then be routed to a wide range of compatible gear; including 10GbE-SFP+ rack-mount servers, blade servers, blade switches, NIC’s, and Direct Attach storage arrays. Mellanox QSA conforms to the SFF-8431 SFP+ and SFF-8436 QSFP connector standards and is 100 percent tested to strict quality requirements. The adapter is built in QSFP form factor with a receptacle for SFP+ cable connector.
