As an important part of the announcement, STA is promoting a converged Internal Mini SAS Cable High-Density (HD) standard connector to create a vibrant and consistent infrastructure to expand SAS usability and scalability. The STA objectives include a consistent connectivity management scheme in addition to the active copper and optical cable extensions supported by the new Internal Mini SAS Cable connector. Harry Mason,has tested these assemblies in folded configurations, and each fold impacts the at that location by approximately only 1 ohm, well within the tightest impedance specifications (and note that the impedance at each fold is not cumulative, but is only a variation at that point).Similarly, S-parameter performance metrics are not degraded, and the cable assemblies still passInternal Mini SAS Cable criteria, even with multiple folds.  Should your design require any folding, be sure to restrain the cable with the appropriate cable clamps to  prevent repeated flexure at the folds.Highpoint includes the Internal Mini SAS Cable, and both a low profile and regular mounting bracket.  Manual, Drivers disc and other papers are also included.  I also bought the BBU separetely, and it comes with its own low profile mounting bracket, and cable to attach it to the RAID card.
